Helping Disabled Young Adults Live Their Best Lives
Freddie Lawer was an inspirational young man with severe disabilities who let nothing stop him from living his life the way he wanted and having fun.
The Fantastic Freddie Foundation was inspired by Freddie's "so what" attitude to his disability. We are a not for profit CIO based in the London Borough of Sutton.
The FFF services young disabled adults aged 15 + by providing leisure and social opportunities to better enjoy their lives.
The Foundation gives them the chance to engage in regular, fun and age appropriate activities.
The Foundation runs fully accessible trips to popular destinations requested by our service users, where everything is planned and vetted for suitability by our team.
This could be to the theatre, a pub crawl or a weekend abroad!
We are planning a weekend trip to Swansea Surfability in 2025 so keep your ear to the ground!
We provide sporting opportunities for our service users, whether it be participating or spectating.
We run regular trips to watch our Local side Sutton United play - consisting of transport if needed, a pre match stop at the pub, meal at the stadium as well as a free ticket.
If participating is more your idea of fun, we are running regular sports sessions in 2025!
We host regular accessible club nights for young disabled people and friends. Where people with additional needs are prioritised.
We run trips to music festivals each summer where all the stress of planning is taken away from you!
We are planning trips to multiple festivals in 2025 - so keep an eye out!
We have been told over again about the difficulties people face when trying to make new friends or form relationships.
Whether its lacking opportunities after school, feeling anxious about it or not knowing how to approach it.
Through our new initiative Mates and Dates we are creating a relaxed environment tailored to people with additional needs so they can meet new people and form connections.
Freddie loved his fashion, and even had his own clothing brand.
We want to encourage young disabled adults to be involved and give them a voice in this space.
Going forward, we will help ensure young disabled fashionistas are able to turn their interest into a real hobby.
The FFF want to help make activities that aren't readily available to young disabled people available!
If you have a disability, it doesn't mean you can't push your limits, step out of your comfort zone and have fun whilst doing it.
In 2025 we are planning Martial Arts classes, an accessible boat day and sports car driving experiences!

The Foundation runs regular focus groups with our service users - so we can be told first hand what opportunities and services are desired.
On the back of this we try our hardest to facilitate the most popular requests!
If you are interested in attending one of our focus groups, know anyone that might be interested, or are an already formed group that wants to be heard please get in touch!
We can host you at our fully accessible venue, or visit your site.
