our commitment to the environment

Environmental Statement

The Fantastic Freddie Foundation recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal requirements and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance.

Charlie Millett, Development Manager, is primarily responsible for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented, however, all employees, trustees and volunteers have an individual responsibility to ensure the aims of this policy are met.

We aim to:

  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Continually improve and monitor environmental performance
  • Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts

The Foundation will always seek to minimise the use of paper in the office and reduce packaging as much as possible.

We will also aim to reduce the amount of energy used by being conscious about switching off lights, heating and electrical equipment when it's not necessary for them to be in use.

We will evaluate the impact of any new products we intend to purchase and ensure they are sourced from environmentally and ethically responsible companies.

With this, we will also favour environmentally friendly and efficient products wherever possible and reuse and recycle everything we’re able to.

Where possible, we will promote the use of travel alternatives such as email or video/phone calls.

The Foundation will update this policy annually in consultation with its employees and trustees where necessary.
