Our Mission
- Provide disabled young adults aged 15 plus with opportunities to enjoy their lives and have fun.
- Reduce frustrations of planning excursions for young disabled adults’ carers.
- Provide more age appropriate activities.
- Encourage the uptake of new hobbies and the strengthening of existing ones.
- Promote independence and normalise young adulthood in the disabled community.
- Combat the disadvantages young disabled people face and promote a level playing field of opportunities.
- Break down the barriers that stop disabled young adults from getting the most out of their lives.
- Arrange weekend and day trips, host regular accessible club nights, arrange trips to music festivals and provide sporting opportunities
Why are we doing this?
- To give other young disabled adults the opportunities that Freddie was lucky to have
- To ensure everyone gets to live their youth the way they want to
- We recognise and have experienced the frustrating barriers that keep disabled people from enjoying their lives to the max
- We recognise the lack of age appropriate activities available for young disabled adults once they hit their later teen years
- We feel there is not enough emphasis on the importance of quality, age appropriate leisure activities in the disabled community
- There is a perception around what disabled young people "should and shouldn't be doing" and that has to change
- Disabled people don't have the same opportunities to enjoy life and challenge themselves as they reach adulthood - yet they still have the same interests and social needs as the rest of the community.
How do we do this?
- Regular focus groups with disabled young people
- Addressing needs identified through client feedback
- Taking responsibility for ensuring events and activities are fully accessible
- Keeping costs low and enabling subsidy where possible
- Putting safeguarding at the forefront of everything we organise
- Risk assess events and activities in accordance with the law and our safety standards
- Prioritise our client group having fun and improving the quality of their lives
- No membership required - join on an individual event basis

Join us to meet new people, try new things and have fun! This is a great event to naturally make friends, form connections and take part in exciting workshops.
